Pricing and Policies

Software Support Policy

A small annual support fee for each of its off the shelf software products. The maintenance fee is $250 for each software product purchased. This fee is used to pay for the cost of media, documentation, shipping, and processing of the software. Customers who own more than one product are entitled to a discount of to P based on the number of products owned.

The maintenance and support fee covers the following areas:

Telephone support to answer any questions specific to the software product purchased.
Annual user requested enhancement release that is mailed to the user at least once annually. The user requested enhancement release includes any improvements made to the software products over the last year. These may be functional enhancements requested by other customers, or strategic enhancements designed by us that can be leveraged by all customers owning the software product.
Support for future releases of the HP product. For those customers who will be upgrading to a new release, we will provide them with a new copy of the software product that is guaranteed compatible.
Resolution of any software bugs and distribution of bug fixes.

License Agreement

License Agreement This agreement between (company name) hereinafter known as (the LICENSEE), and Summit Systems Inc. of St.Louis, Missouri (The LICENSOR). Summit Systems, Inc. grants 'The LICENSEE' a license to use the following Summit Systems software products: (name of software products) on the HP3000 computer identified as: (serial number)

Summit Systems Inc. (The LICENSOR) and (the LICENSEE) agree on the following items:

The licensor grants a LICENSE to the licensee for the USE of the product on a single HP3000 computer identified above.
This license does not transfer ownership of the product from the licensor to the licensee.
The LICENSOR is the sole owner of Summit Systems software and of all rights.
The licensor grants a LICENSE to the licensee for the USE of the product.
The licensee shall pay for and receive MAINTENANCE of the product during all the time that the licensee uses the product.
The licensor believes the information contained in the products to be accurate and reliable. Much care has been taken in its preparation. However, the licensor shall not be liable for any consequences arising out of the use of the product.
This Agreement supersedes any other previous understandings, written or oral, expressed or implied.
Should both licensor and licensee so desire, they may sign new Agreements at any mutually convenient time to add, delete or modify the items in this agreement.
The LICENSOR shall deliver the software products on magnetic tape. The LICENSEE agrees that the information contained on the magnetic tape is proprietary to Summit Systems Inc. and is intended for the use of Summit Systems Inc. customers only. A copy of the information provided on the tape may be stored on the HP3000 computer at the licensee in accordance with the installation instructions provided.
