The Bill of Material Comparison Tools consist of a set of utilities that allow you to immediately view what components are common or different between two bills of material. The bill of material comparison options that are available are:
- Compare bills at different revisions or effectivity dates
- Compare two different assemblies
- Compare bills of material between different manufacturing data bases
- Compare bills of material between different Engineer data bases
- Compare bills of material between Manufacturing and Engineer data bases
- Single level comparisons, Level by Level comparisions, multi-level comparisons, or summary bill comparisons are available.
- View all components, or view differences only
- Costed Bill options allow you to view cost differences
The Bill of Material Comparison Tools also allows you to compare a work order to a bill of material so that you may:
- Perform an 'as built' vs. 'as designed' comparison
- Insure that work orders are being launched with the current bill of material
- See any changes users have made to the work order
- Display over or under issues
